Petra de Vries is an Arnhem based artist, who examines what it means to “simply” BE. Starting from her own position and thoughts and in relation to this fast shifting world that we live in today. Through her drawings, paintings, collages and recently performance and video, she gives shape to her ideas about identity, authenticity, and personal and social stratification. A search for answers to existential questions without the illusion of ever finding them.
